Looking for something that can be worn indoor for lounging, but then can go outside and keep me warm comfortably walking to pickup food or something with just a t shirt underneath in 35-45 F degree weather.Įventually, I will add additional pieces create a layering system (beta ar most likely). Serie Atom: Capas intermedias con aislamiento sintético. use the hoody jacket from sofa to street. Esta chaqueta con capucha ligera, versátil y con aislamiento sintético funciona como capa intermedia o por sí sola. Lastly, as far as utility, my intent is to wear So price isn’t a concern, and I would like to keep the proton, but i don’t know if worse fit is worth better materials/ tech/ etc. Theyre comparable in terms of water resistances, but Atom SL (Tyono 20) offers a slightly more wind resistance and slightly less abrasion resistance compared to Proton FL (Fortius Air 20). Atom Series: Synthetic insulated midlayers. I got the proton for $225 and atom for 190. While neither are comparable to outer layers (shell or belay jackets) at all, theyll fill the bill for spring and summer activities. Light, versatile synthetically insulated hoody works as a midlayer and standalone. Research online pretty much says the proton is always recommended over the atom. The atom LT on the other hand fits perfectly everywhere. I’m afraid a large will relieve the tightness around the chest, but will be too big everywhere else. Otherwise, overall length, arm length, etc fits well. It fits snug to almost perfect, but digs into my arm pits. The Proton is probably an inch too small around the chest area. I bought both the Proton LT and Atom LT in medium. New to the arc’teryx family and purchasing my first piece. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help me join the family!! It’s definitely not as soft / comfortable in the leaf version as it was in the civ version.

Those are important to note: smaller hood size with the leaf model, as well as how the jacket zips up around the chin area. I’ve read other posts/ reviews on the leaf hood. Makes it less of a “sofa to street” jacket, but it’s a trade off I’m happy to make for more durability. It’s a trade off for my durability / abrasion resistance. Very happy with the purchase, fit is great, and insulates/keeps me warm in all of my use cases.Īs noted by other reviews, exterior is much more rugged than civ atom lt. Thank you everyone for your feedback! I ended up getting my hands on a LEAF atom LT gen 2!
